i hate internet people.

And I hate idiots.

Let’s see now why this is truly a horrible idea.

First of all, a person should hold and think for a second. Do you know who Spider-Man is? Because he’s more than a movie and a sequel, and three other movies prior to that.

Spider-Man is dozens, hundreds, thousands of comics. Spider-Man is an entire universe, build for decades by writers and artists, and inkers and god-knows-who else. Spider-Man is times older than most of you people on Tumblr. People have put enormous effort into creating Spider-Man as the person he is, as well as the people surrounding him, his enemies, his city, his environment. Spider-Man has been a favourite hero for generations of boys. Spider-Man is one of Marvel’s key characters.

And someone wants to change him for… what? Because they’re curious? Because they think it might seem like a good idea to raise awareness for gay rights?

Let me put it like this. Imagine your favourite show, or book sequel, something that has been developing and evolving through years and years. Something meaningful to you and many other people around the world. Now imagine we want to raise awareness for… mental illness, for example. Or eating disorders. Or home violence. Or victim blaming. All very, very important stuff.

Now take your favourite character from your favourite series/books and imagine someone decides to restart the respective universe and recreate that same favourite character of yours into an anorexic or perhaps a schizophrenic. Because we want to raise awareness, you see.

You wouldn’t like it, would you? Because that would change the entire being of that character, the person they are, the way they think and make decisions, the way they act, pretty much everything about them. They would be now defined by that new characteristic we want to stress on. They won’t be who they are anymore.

Doesn’t feel nice, does it? Because…

That’s not how it’s done.

You don’t alter characters that have existed the way they were for years, decades, in Spider-Man’s case - more than 50 years.

You want to raise awareness for something - create something. Be inventive. Don’t just fuck around with other people’s years of work.

#this is not what my tumblr was intended for

#sometimes I just can't hold it

#I am really easily annoyed by lack of independent thought

Almost magic

Tumblr can sometimes show us things we never before supposed existed.

And, like I said, I really wanted one of those.

In time and after some research I figured that this particular one was the one I had to get - the Rohrer & Klinger glass dip pen in black and blue.

Then I had to wait for the right time, the right moment…

But now…

…now it is finally MINE!!!

Whoever said they looked like wands was completely right.
